The Home Detox Green Toolbox

Tip:
Instead of using paper towels and napkins, opt for reusable rags and cloth napkins. We use old t-shirts cut into rags and it's really simple to make your own napkins. There's no need to worry about using too much water for washing, you can just throw the rags in the dishwasher with the dishes. The napkins are small enough to throw in with the regular laundry. If your white rags become dingy, just soak them in a hydrogen peroxide and water solution and throw them in the dishwasher. Also, if you are going to use sponges, make sure they are all natural and come from a sponge farm.

Even home decorating products can be filled with toxins and are produced using practices that are not environmentally friendly. We'll show you ways that you can reduce those toxins by purchasing organic or recycled home decor. We'll also show you how to re-use things already in your organic homeby making the old new again!

Did you know that in Philadelphia recycling is the law? You could be fined up to $300 if you don't recycle in Philly. We'll give you lots of tips and information on recycling and the ways it helps not only the environment, but you and your family.
